History

Wat Saman is located on the Bang Pakong river bank close to Bang Pakong Check Dam Project. The temple is enshrined a large Reclining Lord Ganesh that most people are drawn to worship and houses a museum exhibiting stories about the temple and the Lord Ganesh for the tourists. The reclining attitude signifies abundance, richness, happiness, fullness, and carefree. The figure is in pink color. There are 32 different attitudes of the Lord Ganesh around the base. Under the base, a museum exhibits attitudes of the Lord Ganesh and is open to the public to buy the Lord Ganesh images to worship at home. The temple provides an area at the river pavilion for the public to pay homage to the Lord Ganesh. Inside the pavilion, there are imitated attitudes of the Lord Ganesh and the Buddha images for the public to pray for blessing.
